Depths at Sodwana range from 9m - 30m, but most diving is done at depths of 15-18m. Other reefs - 5 Mile, 7 Mile and 9 Mile. All a must!! Enjoy a packed breakfast on the beach in between dives, while soaking up the sun. Afternoons are yours to explore the area or relax by the pool.

Sodwana Bay is home to the prehistoric fish, the Coelacanth with 18 fish having been identified to date.

Day 7 - DIVE MOZAMBIQUE

Once across the border at Kosi Bay you will be transferred in 4x4s to the resort. This new establishment is paradise in the bush. Diving opened in this area in 1993 after 25 years of war. Today, it is an extension of South Africa in terms of diving, offering brilliant reef dives. The Pinnacle, which is a deep dive, is renowned for its sharks, and "Bass City" is home to "Bert", a huge Potato Bass.

Coral Gardens just up the beach, offers spectacular coral reefs. Untouched for years this really is worth the trip. Accommodation is in comfortable sea-facing log chalets. There is a pool, pub & restaurant on the premises & a lake inland which is home to hippo and crocs - a nice place to watch the sun go down. Dinner.
